On 14th of September 2016, The Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a conference on “Doing Business with ASEAN countries: Practical Information from Experts” in Budapest. The event aimed to provide knowledge to Hungarian companies about business opportunities in Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Myanmar, as well as how to tap into these markets.

This conference was officially opened by the Director of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Deputy Secretary of State. The opening was followed by presentations from representative of each ASEAN country, that is, EU-Indonesia Business Network, EU-Philippines Business Network, Eurocham Myanmar, Thai Board of Investment in Frankfurt for Thailand as well as from Hungarian National Trading House.

This event was attended by approximately 70 participants from Hungarian companies. The Indonesian Ambassador for Hungary joined as well.   By the end of the conference, all presentations and individual business consultations were welcomed by the participants with high enthusiasm. EIBN successfully conducted individual business consultation with eleven Hungarian companies interested in the Indonesian market.
