EuroCham aims to improve market access for European companies in Indonesia through information sharing and a proactive advocacy dialogue with the Government of Indonesia, representing a pan-European industry voice. This work is mainly carried out through 16 Working Groups, which represent European business interests in their respective industry/field. EuroCham promotes and supports European business interests across the archipelago by seeking better market access and an improved business environment in Indonesia for European companies. It is a non-profit membership fee-based organisation.

The German-Indonesian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Indonesien - EKONID) supports German, European and Indonesian companies in Indonesia in making advanced and systematic vocational education and training an integral part of their recruitment strategy. A growing number of companies is interested in concrete assistance for a better qualification and securing of future skilled labor force. In this regard, a high-quality vocational education based on the German dual system is of first priority for the companies.

EKONID advises German, European and Indonesian companies on the contents and procedure of needs-oriented German standard Dual Vocational Education & Training (GDVET) programs and supports them in the preparation, organization and conduct of the vocational training including examination and certification in various professions. Moreover, EKONID coordinates the cooperation of all stakeholders involved, including the Indonesian vocational schools, and controls and assures the quality according to German vocational education and training standards during the entire process.

For the implementation of its GDVET programs, EKONID partly relies on the expertise and experiences of the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Germany (IHKs) which are mandated by German statute-law with the realization of the dual vocational education in Germany.
