When EIBN firstly contacted HEMEXPO – Hellenic Marine Equipment Manufacturers regarding the potential of Indonesian Marine Market, we lacked of information about this market. E-Health is booming in Indonesia but business opportunities and potential partners are hardly documented and difficult to identify. We were very satisfied with the final report, which included a detailed description of the market and its structure, where opportunities lie with the private and public sector, market entry strategies and other useful information. Since its inception, EIBN has been a tireless supporter of Romanian businesses which have shown an interest in Indonesia. In 2014, EIBN managed to introduce one of our most important winemaking companies to the very limited group of alcoholic beverage importers in Indonesia. An important result of this encounter is the upcoming entry of Romanian wine in the market. In 2015, we called upon EIBN to intensify its outreach actions in Romania, to which the Team responded swiftly and determinedly with an information session in Bucharest in March, which attracted much interest from our companies. Among these, important Romanian players in the Shipyards industry have now become aware and largely interested in the potential of Indonesia in the field. Enterprise Ireland, the Irish government organization responsible for increasing exports from Ireland, organized a first market study visit to Indonesia early November 2014. .The business delegation comprised of Irish SMEs within the Engineering, Construction and Aviation sectors. Enterprise Ireland worked in collaboration with EIBN in Jakarta to deliver an outstanding programme of site visits and B to B meetings; topped by key networking events for Irish businesses, key Indonesian partners and businesses. The objective of this visit was to provide Irish businesses a forum and platform to understand the dynamics of the market, share experience and uncover business opportunities and partnerships. This was a successful market visit and I would like to congratulate the EIBN team for their professionalism and delivery of a challenging programme. The Czech Embassy to Indonesia informed us of EIBN’s programme open to EU companies at the Wine and Cheese event in Jakarta and we took the opportunity. Primator had large visibility towards end consumers and EIBN was able to connect us to an importer. Thanks to this collaboration, Primator beer is going to be imported to Indonesia in 2015.
