EU-Indonesia Business Network (EIBN) organised the info session “E-Procurement” on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at EKONID office. The info session was supported by the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP), Electronic Procurement System of DKI Jakarta Province (LPSE), Cale Sweden (PT Vertikal Akses Asia), and Business Sweden.
The E-procurement system known as LPSE (Layanan Pengadaan Secara Elektronik) was created to facilitate the procurement for goods and services electronically. The implementation of the e-procurement is set to increase the transparency and accountability of the procurement system, improve market access and healthy competition, as well as improve the efficiency of the procurement process. It will also indirectly support the process of monitoring and auditing, and meet the needs of real-time information access. The system will eventually assist the good governance of the procurement of the government in the public sector.
The system provides untapped business opportunities to many European companies looking to enter Indonesian public sector, while the public sector benefits at the same time from the purchasing of good-quality products. Therefore, this event aimed to provide clear and concise information about e-procurement which might make a large difference in regards to their future success in the Indonesian market.
The session was opened by the INA Director/ EIBN Project Partner, Mr. Peter Halm and the session was followed by presentations on:
All presentations and discussions were welcomed by the participants with high enthusiasm.
This info session was part of the EIBN Info Session series programme exclusively for EU embassies, EU chamber of commerce and industries and EU business support organisations in Indonesia.
