EU-Indonesia Business Network (EIBN) in cooperation with HEMEXPO, the Hellenic Marine Equipment Manufacturers & Exporters Association and the Embassy of Greece in Indonesia hosted a Greek Maritime Business Delegation to Indonesia, from October 15-20, 2017.
The mission was joined representative of 5 Greek companies, namely Aluminox, Environmental Protection Engineering Solutions S.A., NanoPhos, Seabright by A. Mallios, and Go Shipping.
The 5 days program was designed to provide the participating Greek companies with a comprehensive overview of the Indonesian Maritime Market and Industry, focusing on potential business opportunities between Greece and Indonesia. The full program took place in Jakarta and Batam.
In Jakarta, the delegation had a chance to attend a Maritime Business Forum organized at the Ministry of Marine and Fisheries of Indonesia, where the delegates had the chance to meet with the same ministry, as well as with the Ministry of Transportation, the Indonesia Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Association (IPERINDO), and the Indonesia Ship-owners Association (INSA) The business forum aimed at giving an overview of Indonesia’s marine and shipbuilding market to the Greek delegation.
During the mission, the delegation also had chance to visit ship building companies during their visit in Jakarta, as well as meet individually with potential distributors.
After the visit to Jakarta, the mission was continued in Batam, where the delegates had the chance to visit as well several shipyards, meet with potential distributors and discuss about the current shipbuilding industry in Batam with the Batam Shipyard and Offshore Association (BSOA), Chamber of Commerce of Indonesia in Batam (KADIN Batam), and the Batam Indonesia Free Zone Authority (PB Batam).
