EIBN Supported the Economist’event, Indonesia Summit 2017 on April 20th at Shangri-la Hotel Jakarta. The summit examined the country’s most pressing and timely issues, bringing together the country’s opinion leaders for a day of debate and high-level discussion. The main discussion of the summit was “ Has Indonesia President, Joko Widodo, done enough to get Indonesia back on track.” The discussion consisted of a new era of globalization, technology and inclusive growth, Indonesia Inc., deforestation-sustainable standards, and building blocks: Indonesia’s infrastructure imperative.
This year, Indonesia Summit 2017 presented engaging speakers from different sectors:
- Thomas Lembong, Chairman, Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board
- Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Industry, Indonesia
- Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Transportation, Indonesia
- Bernadette Ruth Irawati Setiady, President Director of Kalbe Farma (South-east Asia’s largest pharmaceutical company).
