On Thursday 4 October, EuroCham in partnership with EIBN and EU-Desk at BKPM organized an information session at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Indonesia’s new licensing system: the Online Single Submission (OSS) system. OSS is a centralized electronic registration point where companies can apply for business licenses. The system ought to take away several hurdles from the previous – decentralized – licensing system.
However, since the official launch of OSS in June, many companies have had issues with the system and require clarification. Through this event, EuroCham and EIBN have provided several experts on the topic to illuminate how the system works, what its perks are, what its flaws are, its implications for new as well as existing firms, and what the future of OSS holds. All presentations and discussions were welcomed by the participants with high enthusiasm.
