EIBN welcomed a delegation of European Healthcare companies this April between the 22nd and 25th. Eight companies took part coming from various EU countries such as Spain, UK, Sweden, Portugal and Germany.
The 3-day program was designed to provide the participating companies with a comprehensive overview of the Indonesian Healthcare Market and Industry, focusing on potential business opportunities between the European and Indonesian companies. The full program took place in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia.
The mission started on the first day with an informative session examining the growing healthcare market opportunities in Indonesia with the aim of giving the participants a comprehensive overview of the Indonesian market for healthcare industry by inviting health industry professionals concerned as speakers. Representatives of the Ministry of Health of Republic of Indonesia, the Agency for Procurement of Government Goods and Services (LKPP), Indonesia Hospital Association (PERSI) as well as the local healthcare company PT. Medquest Jaya Global presented detailed information about how the healthcare industry in Indonesia really is. Under discussion were also the representatives of Embassy Netherlands, Embassy of Portugal, Embassy of Spain, the British Chamber of Commerce, and Business Sweden.
Following the info session, the eight delegates along with EIBN were invited to visit the Siloam Hospital in Semanggi, the largest private player in the Indonesian hospital market.
The next two days, the European delegates had the opportunity to meet individually with potential pre-selected local partners. During the last day, an additional site visit was organized to the state-run Hospital Dharmais in Jakarta, a well-known top cancer therapy hospital in Indonesia, as well as one of the 14 National Referral Hospitals.
