In order to stop COVID-19 from spreading any further in Indonesia, on March 31, 2020, President Joko Widodo decided to temporarily ban foreign nationals from entering the Indonesian territory, with certain exemptions and requirements. However, with the upcoming easing of travelling between Indonesia and Europe, more Europeans will be coming (back) to Indonesia in the near future. At the same time, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has issued new guidelines for foreigners and Indonesian citizens to enter the country safely.
The EU-Indonesia Business Network (EIBN) organized the EIBN Online Info Session (Webinar through Microsoft Teams) on Entering Indonesia in the ‘New Normal’.
The webinar was opened by Mr Jan Roennfeld, followed by a presentation on Immigration Regulatory Update During and After COVID-19 by Mr. Rochadi Iman Santoso, Director of Immigration Cooperation, Ministry of Law and Human Rights. The second presentation on The Health Protocol of Handling Returning Arrivals from Foreign Countries During COVID-19 by Dr. Endang Budi Hastuti, Head of Emerging Infectious Disease Subdirectorate in the Ministry of Health
The info session aims to inform EU embassies and companies on procedures and requirements for entering Indonesia
