With the support of the EU Delegation to Indonesia and European embassies in Jakarta, the EIBN led the participation of a delegation of European F&B companies at the Wine and Cheese Expo, Jakarta. Between 9 and 18 May, a European Pavilion stood at the centre of the main venue and could be explored by the 2000 daily visitors attending the event at La Piazza, where they had the opportunity to taste and know more about the presented food and beverage delicacies from the old continent.
The Pavilion featured diverse European products from 36 companies, including wines, cheese, beer, chocolate and olive oil from 10 EU Member States. Beyond the Pavilion, EIBN organized several successful B2B events which gave the opportunity to the visiting companies to meet potential local importers. The platform would not have been complete without the open workshops, wine tastings and live cooking demonstrations organized by European embassies and companies.
The European participation was at the forefront of the Expo, contributing to bring Indonesia and the European Union closer by sharing its flavours, traditions and culture of fine food and beverage making.
