The Indonesian Food & Beverage Market: Opportunities and Challenges

The info session was one of EIBN’s programmed activities for the Wine & Cheese Expo Jakarta. The discussion approached formal registration procedures for F&B products in Indonesia, the state of the industry in the country and the experiences of a key global player in the industry, the European F&B group Diageo. The event was attended by over 20 participants from representations of EU Member States’ embassies and other European business professionals.

 

For this session, EIBN was able to convene a panel composed of representatives of key entities to the F&B sector in Indonesia: Mr. Adhi Lukman, (Chairman, GAPMMI - Indonesian Food & Beverage Association); Dr. Yusra Egayanti (Sub-Directorate of Food Standardization, BPOM – National Agency of Food and Drug Control); and Mr. John Galvin (Managing Director, DIAGEO Indonesia). The session was introduced by Ms. Chloe Martinez (Project Manager, EIBN) and moderated by Ms. Astri Wahyuni (External Affairs Manager PT Unilever Indonesia and Chairwoman of the Eurocham Indonesia’s F&B Working Group).
