Hungary Roadshow: EIBN and EPBN in Budapest

EIBN’s second stop of this semester’s Europe roadshows was in Budapest, Hungary.
On the 19 March 2015, the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted the information session and discussion Indonesia and the Philippines: Gateways to ASEAN.

As in other EU-ASEAN joint roadshows, EIBN was accompanied by another EU-ASEAN Business Network, on this occasion the EU-Philippines Business Network (EPBN). Representatives of the two Networks presented the most promising sectors in Indonesia and the Philippines, and update participating companies regarding market access and potential. The session particularly highlighted sectors which match Hungary’s current export and business strengths.

In addition, Gateways to ASEAN was also an opportunity for Hungarian SMEs interested in the Indonesian and the Filipino markets to know more about the support and resources available to them through EIBN and EPBN.

Both representatives of Indonesian Embassy and Filipino Embassy in Hungary joined the information session and delivered the opening speech for participants. The event was attended by more than 70 Hungarian companies from various sectors.

All presentations and discussions were welcomed by the participants with high enthusiasm.
