EIBN organised a business mission programme for a business delegation of the Hungarian Trade House in Singapore on 15-16 April 2015. The delegation included businesses operating with several types of Hungarian products, namely wine, agricultural products and consumer goods.
The delegation had the opportunity to visit the Food and Hotel Indonesia 2015 event, having met with various potential local partners in different lines of business. In addition, participating Hungarian representatives had the opportunity to engage in B2B meetings with four of the fifteen licensed alcohol importers in Indonesia (PT. Pantja Artha Niaga, PT. Drinakay, PT. Jaddi International and PT. Jaya Makmur Perkasa).
Furthermore, the delegation also had the chance to assess the possible market demand for their food products on the ground, after meeting with several key Indonesian food importers, such as CV. Libra Food, PT. Prambanan Kencana, PT. Sarana Kulina, PT. Pandurasa Kharisma, PT. Armasco Prima and PT. Sukanda Djaya.
In order to see to deepen their knowledge about the F&B retail market in Indonesia, the delegation also had the opportunity to meet in person with representatives of PT. Trans Retail Indonesia (Carrefour) at their headquarters in Lebak Bulus, Jakarta. Having discussed possible paths for business, they also visited Carrefour’s biggest store in Jakarta.
EIBN supported the delegation in opening possibilities for business partnerships that can facilitate the market entry of F&B Hungarian products in Indonesia. The EIBN team was successful in finding high potential business partners for the represented Hungarian companies, putting forth the contacts and programme for this delegation, supporting B2B meetings on the ground and assisting with follow-up in the medium-term.
The EIBN operated efficiently once again in the F&B sector, which is but one of its sectors of expertise when it comes to supporting European Union business entering the high potential Indonesian market.
