On Monday, 11th May, EIBN participated in a visit organized by Enterprise Lithuania to the headquarters of Santara Valley, namely Innovative Medicine Center and Soli Tek Industry, in Vilnius. Present EIBN representatives had the opportunity to learn more about Lithuania’s biotechnology and renewable energy Industries. It was also an occasion to share and discuss with these business clusters regarding the potential and business opportunities for their products in the Indonesian market.
EIBN was introduced to the expertise of those companies and visited their production sites, namely laboratories and assembly lines, and witnessed the advanced technologies that these companies are currently employing.
Santara Valley is located in the northern part of Vilnius and is one of five technology clusters in Lithuania being developed to accelerate the translation of domestic scientific research results into business applications. Lithuania is home to the R&D facilities of 4 major research institutes, a number of pharma producers and private technology development centres.
SoliTek is a manufacturer and seller of PV cells and modules, and part of one of Lithuania’s most renown holdings, the BOD Group. Their state-of-the-art PV cells and Glass/Glass modules are developed and manufactured by using renewable energy sources – solar and geothermal energy.
