The EU-ASEAN Business Networks, composed by EIBN (Indonesia) EVBN (Vietnam) , EPBN (Philippines), EABC (Thailand) and SEBSEAM-M (Malaysia) toured Europe in May 2015 for a series of information and B2B sessions directed at local SMEs.
Sweden was the last stop in this series of Roadshows, with two sessions taking place in Västerås (May 20) and Stockholm (May 21), organized in cooperation with the Europa Institutet and endorsed by Business Sweden.
The aim of the event was to provide knowledge to Swedish SMEs about business opportunities in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, and how to tap these markets through the resources and services provided by the EU-ASEAN Business Networks.
This event was open to all Swedish companies with an interest in internationalization, particularly in the markets of the ASEAN region. In the two cities, EIBN met more than 20 participants from a variety of organizations and industries, including Healthcare, IT, natural resources technologies, agribusiness, among other. The programme followed can be found here.
The common goal of the EU-ASEAN Business Networks, co-funded by the European Union under the ICI+ programme, is to stimulate and enhance trade and investment from the European Union to ASEAN, focusing particularly on facilitating market access to European SMEs.
