The Indonesian Medical Devices Market Info Session

EIBN organised the info session The Indonesian Medical Devices Market: Business Potential and Registration Procedures on Thursday, March 5, 2015 in EKONID. This event aimed at providing further knowledge on regulatory requirements, market demand and future development regarding the Indonesian medical devices market.

The info session was supported by the Ministry of Health (Directorate of Medical Device Production and Distribution) and the Association of Medical Devices and Laboratory Appliances Companies in Indonesia (GAKESLAB).

The first part of this session discussed various perspectives on the current healthcare services market and future prospects, particularly regarding medical devices, in a discussion led by Mr. Budi Prasetio (GAKESLAB). The session followed with a presentation on regulation and procedures for medical device registration in Indonesia, delivered by Ms. Nuning Lestin Bintari, a representative of Ministry of Health.

The event was concluded with an experience-sharing session by Mr. Aart van Wingerden, the director of a major Indonesian importer. He presented case studies on registration processes based on his own business practice in Indonesia.

All presentations and discussions were welcomed by the participants with high enthusiasm.

This info session was part of the EIBN Info Session series programme for EU embassies, chamber of commerce and industries and business support organisations in Indonesia.
