The EU-Indonesia Business Network (EIBN) organised the info session “ASEAN Economic Community: Future Impact on European businesses” on Tuesday, December 2, 2015 in the Delegation of the European Union to Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam and ASEAN.
Anticipating the market demand in the ASEAN, this event aimed at providing further knowledge on the impact of ASEAN Economic Community in EU Businesses operating in Indonesia and EU businesses aiming to come and invest in the country.
The info session was supported by the Delegation of the European Union, the ASEAN Secretariat and EU – Indonesia Trade Cooperation Facility (TCF).
The session was opened by the EU Delegation with remarks on the EU-ASEAN relations from Mr. Mikael Sami, First Secretary of the Economic and Trade Section. The session was followed with a presentation on the impact of ASEAN Economic Community on EU Businesses by Mr. Ho Quang Trung, Director for Market Integration Directorate in ASEAN Secretariat, and a presentation on the prospects for EU Investments ahead to the ASEAN Economic Community by Mr. Daniel Nicholls, Representative of EU – Indonesia Trade Cooperation Facility (TCF).
The event was concluded with remarks by Ambassador for European Union to ASEAN, H.E. Francisco Fontan.
All presentations and discussions were welcomed by the participants with high enthusiasm.
This info session was part of the EIBN Info Session series programme for EU embassies, chamber of commerce and industries and business support organisations in Indonesia.
