EU-ASEAN Business Council and the EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce & Industry jointly organized the ASEAN-EU Business Summit, which took place on August 23, 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This annual event brought together over 200 participants from the government, business, and academia, among which many leaders, to explore a number of issues, top of the list being how best to grow and develop the already strong trade and investment relationship between ASEAN and the European Union.
The ASEAN-EU Business Summit was initiated in 2011 in Jakarta, Indonesia and has since developed to an established meeting point in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on April 2012 and Hanoi, Vietnam in March 2013 with several hundred delegates attending each event. The Business Summit is designed to be a platform for business leaders, thought-leaders and policymakers to interact and debate the key business and trade issues of the day.
EIBN, along with other regional networks, presented its services as the first entry point for European Business in their endeavour to explore the full potential in Indonesia.
