The plastic, packaging and medical devices sectors in Indonesia continue to grow at an unprecedented rate. Together with greater sanitary awareness, mushrooming infrastructure and newly established universal healthcare, the country is witnessing an increasing demand in European technology, machinery and medical equipment.
Coherent to the country's development in this sector, the EIBN attended Pharmapack Europe 2016 in Paris, France, the leading European event for key players in drug packaging and drug delivery systems. In total, the conference welcomed 3,000 visitors, hosted around 400 exhibitors, and offered targeted B2B meetings.
The Network's EU Representative actively engaged in the bilateral meetings as well as general networking in order to connect with the European SMEs interested in expanding their markets East, towards Indonesia - where the demand is high.
Packaging is also one of the EIBN's new key sector focuses, furthering the Networks' market expertise in the sector and enhancing business opportunities between the EU and Indonesia.
Concrete commercial connections were made with different European actors present throughout the fair.
