As a part of EIBN’s focus on cold storage, the EU-Indonesia Business Network (EIBN) organised the info session “Prospect of Cold Chain Industry in Indonesia” on Thursday, 4th of August 2016 at EKONID office. The info session was supported by the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries and the Indonesia Cold Chain Association .
The demand of cold storage and cold chain comes from many sectors, such as the fisheries, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and even retail sector. Indonesia is still in need of a reliable and suitable supply chain in order to ensure distribution of goods across each part of the country. Therefore, this event aimed to provide further knowledge of cold chain industry in Indonesia, as well as the prospects for EU investment ahead in this sector.
