EIBN welcomed a delegation of European Healthcare companies this April between the 7th and the 10th. Two companies from Finland and the UK are participating in the trade mission namely Medix Biochemica and Medivatus. 
 

The 3-day program was designed to provide the participating companies with a comprehensive overview of the Indonesian Healthcare Market and Industry, focusing on potential business opportunities between the European and Indonesian companies. The full program took place in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia.
 

The mission started on the first day with an informative session examining the growing healthcare market opportunities in Indonesia with the aim of giving the participants a comprehensive overview of the Indonesian market for healthcare industry by inviting health industry professionals concerned as speakers. Ms. Nuning Lestin Bintari, Representative of the Ministry of Health of Republic of Indonesia presented detailed information about the registration process of medical devices in Indonesia and Mr. Aart Van Wingerden from Medtech Global Jaya shared his experience on operating in medical device business in Indonesia. 

Following the info session, the delegation along with EIBN’s team were invited to visit the SOS International Clinic in Cipete, the costumer-based clinic which provide consultations and first care for international communities staying in Jakarta.   Second site visit was organized to the state-run Hospital Mitra Keluarga in Jakarta, one of the largest hospital groups in Indonesia.
 

The following day, the European delegates had the opportunity to meet individually with potential pre-selected local partners.
