EIBN was officially launched in Europe on 25th June, in a joint event dedicated to the EU-ASEAN Business Networks, held in Sofitel Europe, Brussels. The session included the presentation of three of the ICI+SEBSEAM EU-ASEAN Networks (EIBN, EU-Vietnam Business Network and EU-Philippines Business Network) by their managing directors. Mr. Jan Rönnfeld (Project Director) introduced the audience and led the discussion about Indonesia and EIBN.

This afternoon session was well-attended and included a panel discussion on EU-ASEAN relations with key European Commission policy-makers from DG ENTR, DG TRADE DG DEVCO, as well as the European External Action Service’s concerned regional department. The discussion was moderated by Ms. Shada Islam, Head of Policy for Friends of Europe, a co-organizer of this event.
