(20/09) Minister of Indonesia State Enterprise, Ms. Rini Soemarno has visited Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark and she met with representatives of the government and several big companies operating in various sectors. Indonesia Ministry of State Enterprise is encouraging domestic companies to build cooperation with Scandinavian companies particularly in energy and fisheries sector.
During her visit in Norway, she visited several cities as well representatives from several companies in order to discuss about further cooperation in fish farming, deep sea oil drilling as well as renewable energy sector especially hydropower.
In Sweden, she met with representatives from Sweaskog to discuss the feasibility of producing biomass-free electricity through forest management as well as representatives from Bofors and Saab to discuss possibilities cooperation in defense equipment.
In Finland, Minister Rini met with the Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Kai Mykkanen and also visited online game developer SuperCell, Nokia, and other investors.
Lastly, in Denmark she met with the Danish Minister of Energy, Utility and Climate, Lars Christian Lilleholt, and representatives from companies and investors to discuss trade and investment potential. During her visit in Denmark, a power purchase agreement was signed between Indonesias state-owned electricity company PT PLN and a group of international investors, in cooperation with Vestas Wind System.
