Indonesia's Minister : Denmark to Invest in Energy and Tourism.
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Rizal Ramli said that Indonesia and Denmark would strengthen ties in the maritime sector.
“Areas to be developed include the tourism sector in Belitung and wind energy development in Sulawesi,” Rizal said on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the TanjungPriok Port, Jakarta.
However, Rizal shortstopped to respond questions related to the investment value and the time to realize the investment. According to Rizal, Denmark has the technology to turn wind power into electricity.
The investment commitment pledged by Denmark coincided with the visit of Danish Queen Margrethe II to Indonesia. The visit also marked the 65 years of diplomatic relationship between Indonesia and Denmark.
Danish Ambassador to Indonesia Casper Klynge said that Indonesia had been successful in its transition to become a democratic country with a strong social economic development.
“Now, Indonesia must maintain its economic growth and answer challenges in the 21st century,” Klynge said.
